Anat Ben-David is an Israeli video and performance artist, working and living in London.
/ A pioneer of the video-performance genre in Israel, her skills span from acting, singing and directing for the stage to video art, digital imaging and painting.
/ In 2003, she graduated MFA at Goldsmiths University and joined friends, Chicks On Speed on tour as part of her final year project Popaganda. The project focused on the connection between the pop star and the fascist leader, in the context of performance and the relationship to an audience.
/ Popaganda developed into a live show, Anat continued working in music, became part of the live act and later on she joined the band as a member and co-writer.
/ Her solo album Virtual Leisure came out in 2007 on C.O.S Records. Her latest theater project, Tearing Off A Piece, based on Scum Manifesto by Valerie Solanas, has been commissioned and presented in Beursschouwburg, Brussels 2009.
/ Her video works and paintings were exhibited internationally, in shows including: Wonderyears at Künstlerhaus Betanien, Berlin, Switch on the Power at Montermeso Vitoria, Spain, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang at Museo de Bellas Artes, Bilbao, Late at Tate at Tate Britain, Imagine a World at South Bank, London and Serpentine Gallery Interview Marathon with Rem Koolhaas.
